To implement the "Several Measures to Support the High-Quality Development of Innovative Drugs", promote the high-quality development of innovative drugs, and better meet the diverse medical and drug needs of the people, the National Healthcare Security Administration recently held the first symposium of the series on medical insurance support for innovative drugs and medical devices. Representatives from over 20 pharmaceutical enterprises, universities, research institutes and medical institutions had in-depth exchanges on topics such as "Conducting comprehensive medical insurance Value evaluations of innovative drugs and medical devices", and put forward suggestions and opinions.

The representatives attending the meeting unanimously expressed that the convening of this meeting reflects the clear attitude of the National Healthcare Security Administration of "truly supporting innovation, supporting genuine innovation, and supporting differentiated innovation". Conducting a comprehensive value assessment of medical insurance is of great significance for scientifically evaluating the value of innovative products, promoting the efficient utilization of medical insurance resources, and better serving the health of the general public. It is hoped that a batch of system standards and normative guidelines based on the comprehensive value evaluation of medical insurance will be launched as soon as possible to lead the innovative development of the industry. The experts also expressed that they would leverage their own strengths to jointly promote the construction of a comprehensive value evaluation system for medical insurance.

Responsible officials from the Price Procurement Center, the Department of Pharmaceutical Administration, the Department of Price and Procurement of the National Healthcare Security Administration and other units attended the symposium.
