Since July 2024, there have been 19 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government), including Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Fujian, Shandong, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Gansu and Qinghai. And Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province, Huangshan in Anhui province, Zhoukou in Henan province, Altai in Xinjiang Province and other cities have launched a small program covering the whole province or the whole city. The public can obtain drug price comparison through the APP of the local medical insurance bureau, wechat mini program, wechat public account, Alipay mini program and other ways to realize the one-click query, real-time comparison and location navigation of drug prices on the mobile phone. Meanwhile, the price comparison program of designated pharmacies in some provinces also provides inventory information display, abnormal price reminder, price trend analysis and other related functions. The public responded warmly and actively supported it.

In the next step, the National Medical Insurance Bureau will continue to guide all localities to accelerate the implementation of the construction task of the price comparison mini program for designated pharmacies, constantly improve the awareness rate and utilization rate of the price comparison mini program, ensure that all designated pharmacies are covered by the end of 2024, create a fair competition market environment for the retail pharmacy industry, and provide more open and transparent drug purchase services for the masses.
