The application work for the configuration license of Class A large medical equipment in 2025 has begun.
6On June 9th, the Finance Department of the National Health Commission issued a notice on the application for the configuration license of Class A large medical equipment in 2025. In accordance with the "Administrative Licensing Law of the People's Republic of China", the "Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Medical Devices", the "Measures for the Administration of the Configuration and Use of Large Medical Equipment (Trial)", the "Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Administration of the Configuration License of Class A Large Medical Equipment", the "Catalogue of the Administration of the Configuration License of Large Medical Equipment (2023)", the "Notice on the Release of the '14th Five-Year Plan' for the Configuration of Large Medical Equipment", and other laws and regulations According to the regulations and document requirements, the application period for the configuration license of Class A large medical equipment in 2025 is from June 10th to August 8th, 2025 (8:30 to 17:00 on working days).
In terms of the number of approved systems, the notice clearly states that based on the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the configuration of large medical equipment, this round plans to permit 11 heavy ion proton radiotherapy systems, among which 3 are specifically for social medical institutions (applications can be made by social medical institutions across the country), and 1 each in Tianjin, Jiangsu, Anhui, Guangdong, Tibet, Qinghai, Ningxia and Xinjiang. Socially-run medical institutions can independently choose one of the planning indicators specifically for socially-run medical institutions or the planning indicators of the province (municipality directly under the Central Government, autonomous region) for application.
There are 30 sets of high-end radiotherapy equipment, including 1 each from Hebei, Liaoning, Jilin, Shandong, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Tibet, Qinghai and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, 2 each from Beijing, Tianjin, Anhui, Fujian, Henan and Guangdong, 3 from Shaanxi and 4 from Zhejiang.
